In the Berwick region, you’ll find an abundance of things to do, no matter what the season.

For every activity you like to do, Greater Berwick has something to offer you, providing fun, excitement and relaxation all throughout the year.

If it’s golf, hit the greens at the Berwick Golf Club, Rolling Pines Golf Course and the International Golf School.

If wintertime activities are more your thing, you’ll find plenty of options for skiing, snowboard and snowmobiling at nearby resorts including Sno Mountain, Jack Frost Big Boulder Pocono Resort and Camelback Ski Resort. These ski resorts are some of the most popular in the Northeast.

When it comes to the great outdoors, Greater Berwick offers miles and miles of beautiful landscapes. Visit the 19,255 acres of state game lands that are managed and maintained by the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

You and your family can enjoy a variety of activities there, including hunting, boating, fishing, hiking, bird watching and nature study. And in the winter, snowmobiles may be operated in designated areas.

For more outdoor activities, spend a few hours or a day at the Susquehanna Riverlands, just north of Berwick.

PPL Electric Utilities maintains this 1,200-acre area that runs adjacent to the beautiful Susquehanna River. This scenic retreat is the perfect venue for hiking, picnicking, boating, fishing, wildlife viewing and enjoying the sunshine and fresh air with your family, friends or pets.

At Ber-Vaughn Park in Berwick, residents can picnic, swim or play softball, among other activities. The Berwick Area Swimming Pool Association has spent several years raising money for necessary reconstruction and revitalization initiatives to make the public pool affordable, fun and safe. Briar Creek Lake is also an excellent place to go for outdoor activities.

Another option for hours of family-friendly entertainment is Knoebels Amusement Resort, a mere 28 miles away. For the past eight decades, the free-admission park has been thrilling its patrons, who come from near and far to enjoy the park’s variety of rides.

Knoebels offers free entertainment and parking as well. The park, as well as its food and one of its wooden roller coasters, is ranked among the best in the United States by Amusement Today magazine.
